Safety can be first. Safety can be last too. Safety can be part of your everyday routine. Safety can be your moral obligation. Safety can be all day, every day. You can meet on it, you can preach it and you can post safety signs for all to see, everywhere. Safety can be goal zero, safety can be something you live with and safety can be something you can’t live without. You can stay alert, and always be aware of the potential hazards. You can proclaim from the top of a distillation tower that “if a job can’t be done safely, it won’t be done at all, period”.
But if you are using the wrong tools for the job, injuries will continue to happen, and preaching safety is just lip service!
